It occurs to me that some people might think that in light of #RoeVsWadeoverturned birth rates will increase - let me disabuse you of that notion.

In the long run, birth rates could stay the same and they could even decrease in the absence of safe access to abortion.

Did I miss something?

Economics educators need to start teaching more of these theories and evidence - women’s issues have been sidelined by the economics profession for too long.

There are many ways to look at Abortion rights. They are for sure human rights. Their access for sure impacts health. Their access for sure reduces maternal death.
Are abortion rights part of strong economic policy? A 🧵 of the evidence.
